Build solutions that truly move companies forward.

As a Microsoft Solutions Partner, we make retail, e-commerce, and logistics providers digitally faster, cleaner, and more predictable. We bring Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central into our customers' reality — with a clear methodology, a resilient ISV stack, and consultants who take ownership. Those who work at dicobis don't make slides — they build solutions that carry our customers' daily business.

What Defines Us as a Team

dicobis is a well-coordinated team of consultants, developers, and project managers implementing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central at retail and e-commerce companies as well as logistics providers. With a leading methodology, short decision paths, and ownership from day one.

Focus on Retail and E-Commerce

We don't do “everything for everyone.” Our ISV stack (dicobis.connect) and our methodology are precisely tailored to multichannel retailers, distance retailers, and e-commerce companies. You work with customers whose business model you understand — not in ten different industries at once.

Standard First Instead of Wish Concerts

Our projects follow the dicobis phase model: phasing in, ramp-up, project phase, phasing out. We build on the Microsoft standard and a proven ISV stack instead of custom-coding every requirement. Fewer hacked-together one-offs, more projects that go live in 9 months — and hypercare instead of permanent firefighting.

Mirror Team and Steering Committee

Here, you don't work alone against the customer, but in a mirror team: every dicobis role has a counterpart on the customer side, and the steering committee makes binding decisions. That makes projects predictable — and your work visible.

Ownership From Day One

Whoever starts with us quickly takes on their own topics: a module, a customer, a process. You won't be dragged along for a year — but you won't be thrown in at the deep end either. Onboarding is structured; sparring is available at all times.

Management That Sits at the Table

Management is present in operations, in sales, and in the projects. Short paths are not a marketing line for us — they are a logical consequence of our size and our attitude.

Our Philosophy

What I particularly value is the combination of functional depth, technical ambition, and the trust to contribute my own ideas.

FAQ

Can I also apply unsolicited?
Yes, absolutely. If none of the posted positions fit but you bring experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, NAV, ERP implementations in retail/e-commerce, or adjacent roles (project management, solution architecture, development, account management), an unsolicited application is worthwhile. Drop us a short note about what you do, what you're looking for, and when you'd be available. A CV is enough — we don't need a classic cover letter. We usually get back to you within two weeks.
What experience should I bring for an application?
That depends heavily on the role. For Business Central consultants and developers, we generally expect at least 2–3 years of experience with Business Central. Those coming from retail or e-commerce with deep process knowledge should have experience as a Business Central or Dynamics NAV key user. Those coming from a logistics provider can also join without a Business Central background — we train deliberately.

For project management, we expect experience with ERP or larger IT projects and confidence in steering committees. For account management and sales, B2B sales experience matters more than a technical background.

For all roles: we look for people who enjoy responsibility, communicate clearly, and want to move customers forward sustainably. Career changers with the right attitude are welcome.
How does the application process work?
We deliberately keep the process short. Four steps, usually within three to four weeks:
  1. Application by email or via the form. Within two weeks, management or the relevant department lead gets in touch.
  2. First introduction (20–30 min., Microsoft Teams). Personal fit, role, mutual expectations.
  3. Second conversation with functional depth. For consultants/developers/project managers, often with a case discussion. For account managers or sales, a concrete sales topic.
  4. Contract conversation and offer. We make clear offers without multiple renegotiation rounds.
Whoever convinces in two conversations gets an offer. Whoever isn't a fit gets honest feedback promptly — no “we'll be in touch” silence.
Are there development opportunities within the team?
Yes — but we don't sell an abstract “career model with five levels.” Instead, you develop through real projects and areas of responsibility:
  • Functional depth: specialization in modules (finance, trade, warehouse), topics (multichannel, logistics), or ISV components of the dicobis stack.
  • Role development: from consultant to lead consultant and project manager; from junior developer to solution architect; from account manager with your own portfolio.
  • Microsoft certifications (MB-800, MB-820, etc.) are funded and scheduled during working hours.
  • Whoever wants to help shape our methodology or product development (the dicobis stack) gets the room to do so.
Which location will I work from?
We have two locations: Ulm (headquarters) and Dortmund (Ruhr region branch). Your location is determined by proximity to where you live. We are not the employer that forces you across Germany when it isn't necessary.

In general, we work hybrid: 1–3 days per week in the office, depending on distance. We don't offer pure 100% remote models — we believe good consulting needs personality, trust, and shared days at the whiteboard.
